All our staff possess the appropriate expertise, certifications, and professional registrations and are leaders in the areas of Environmental Management, Safety and Health Compliance, and Quality Assurance. We also strive to select individuals who have the reliability, honesty, and interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with our clients and the subordinates to whom they provide direction.

Jeffrey Hertzel |

Jeffrey Hertzel has more than 25 years experience in successful leadership positions in engineering, project management, contract management, operations, production control, shop fabrication, and environmental compliance on a variety of U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) projects. He is a Registered Environmental Manager, the highest professional management level of the National Registry of Environmental Professions registration. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering and is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Nuclear Power School.
As manager of Hanford’s Tri-Party Agreement Integration team that led Hanford’s efforts toward compliance with the Hanford Federal Facility Agreement and Consent Order (Tri-Party Agreement), Jeffrey worked very closely with regulatory agencies such as the State of Washington Department of Ecology, the Environmental Protection Agency, and the U.S. Department of Energy. He led this team to resolve regulatory issues and supplied DOE senior management data and information that ensured strong regulator relationships, and facilitated fair and effective decision-making. Jeffrey and his team were responsible for the tracking and completion of over 1,000 enforceable milestones representing 30 years and over $30 billion dollars of work scope.
As the Project Manager of the Single Shell Tank Retrieval project, Jeffrey was responsible for all project definition documentation for the safe retrieval of all 149 single-shell tanks on the Hanford site. His team was also responsible for the development of leak detection, monitoring and mitigation strategy for the retrieval of all Hanford Tank Farms.
Jeffrey also held the position of Project Controls Manager responsible for the design, schedule, budget, procurement, and work implementation of a five-year $250 million dollar shut down project of two fuel processing plants. He was responsible for analyzing and maintaining all project maintenance schedules, developing work around project schedules, determining plant priorities and maintaining plant design configuration. Jeffrey was also responsible for coordinating all maintenance work in the plant. His leadership abilities and project management skills allowed both shutdown projects to be completed ahead of schedule and under budget.

Scott Hertzel is the manager of the TradeWind Services LLC Business Development Department. He possesses 6+ years experience in nuclear and non-nuclear areas, providing proposal development, review and submittal. He is also responsible for providing direct support to the President, and oversite to the Accounting, Human Resources and Recruiting Departments as needed.

Sue Bergin is the manager of the TradeWind Services LLC Staffing and Recruiting Department. She possesses 25+ years working experience involving nuclear and non-nuclear areas including 11+ years experience in contracts and recruiting. She has worked at the Hanford Nuclear Reservation, and in the private sector, where her jobs included Director, Manager and Recruiter, among others.
In her current role, Sue is responsible for establishing, nurturing and maintaining relationships with a diverse group of clients, contract employees and job seekers, developing new business and contract/direct job placements in the nuclear, non-nuclear, technical, non-technical, healthcare and manufacturing industries, negotiating contracts and wage rates for contract and direct employment and gain trust and commitment from clients and candidates to fulfill job assignments.

Kathy Hertzel is the Financial Manager for TradeWind Services LLC. She is responsible for Accounting, Human Resources and Contracts Management. She possesses 30+ years of experience in the nuclear and commercial sectors. She provides day-to-day oversight and decisions making involving payroll, accounts payable and receivable, human resources, contracts and company procedures. She has a Bachelors of Arts degree from the University of Washington in Business Administration with a major in Accounting

Susan Lowery is a Sr. Human Resource and Payroll Administrator with TradeWind Services LLC. She possesses 30+ years of experience performing administrative functions. She is responsible for Human Resource oversight, employee new hire and terminations; timecard and payroll processing; 401K administration and benefits administration.
