Enterprise Architect

TradeWind Services a Certified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, located in Richland, WA is seeking to procure an Enterprise Architect to support client activities on the Hanford Site.

This position is full time (4/10s schedule), with work location in Richland, WA. (subject to change)

JOB DESCRIPTION

Definition, implementation, and execution of the processes for the creation, maintenance, and conformance management of an Enterprise Architecture program

Development and maintenance of Enterprise Architecture deliverables

Ongoing publicity, communication, and training of the Enterprise Architecture both within the information community, and the business units to adequately perform the organization's business and technology activities

Building relationships within business units and information system programs to understand Mission requirements, business activities and drivers, solutions strategies and alternatives, etc.

Lead efforts for procuring and implementing EA tool

Leading the creation and/or evolution of the EA function, including the coordination of an appropriately balanced pursuit of enterprise information systems, data, technical and solution architecture viewpoints

Create system architectures and meta-models for each individual component of systems at a high level

Define and establish an application sub-architecture domain and develop an application reference model (ARM) and interface diagrams

Auditing compliance with the Enterprise Architecture standards, and assessing and correcting any deficiencies

Act as subject matter expert and provide an assurance role, ensuring that all architecture activities and deliverables are produced to a high quality and are consistent with existing standards, policies and strategies

Review project and system documentation for standards compliance

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

10+ years of information technology, analysis and design experience

4+ years in an Enterprise Architect role specifically

Strong familiarity with at least one common Enterprise Architecture framework (e.g. TOGAF, ISO 19439, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework (FEAF), etc.)

Broad background in different technologies and business sectors

Robust knowledge of security architectures and their impact on Enterprise Architecture

Strong knowledge of public cloud architectures and management approach

Knowledge of IT compliance processes and standards

Experience with Disaster Recovery approaches and designs

Proven ability to develop and enforce standards and best practices

Exceptional strategic planning, problem-solving and analytical skills

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

Demonstrated proficiency in:

Architecture Modeling & Design

Knowledge of several technology stacks

Excellent understanding of market and technology trends

Software security methods and models

Application frameworks

Strong self-awareness and interpersonal skills including ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Relevant Enterprise Architecture certification is desirable

Amazon Web Services (AWS)/Azure/cloud architect certifications are desirable

Delivering initiatives successfully inside heavily regulated environments (e.g. Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability (HIPAA), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Sarbannes-Oxley, NIST)

Deep understanding of Agile development principles and their applicability within the Enterprise Architecture discipline

Understanding of business functionality, interfaces, data flow, and functional architecture of systems supported

Software development experience

Experience with modern DevOps environment

System qualities and tradeoffs – solution evaluation experience, i.e. such as KepnerTregoe decision-making methodology

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or 8 years of equivalent experience

DURATION  

Duration is from date of award through 9/30/2020 with potential to extend longer.

PER DIEM

Travel and living expenses are not authorized for this position.
