Industrial Hygienist and IH Technicians

TradeWind Services, a Certified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, located in Richland, WA is seeking to procure Industrial Hygienist(s) and Industrial Hygiene Technician(s) to support client activities on the Hanford Site.

This position is full time (4/10s schedule), with work location at the Hanford Site. (subject to change)

JOB DESCRIPTION

Industrial Hygienist – All Levels:

Performs occupational related studies, surveys, and investigations of industrial and maintenance operations to identify potential health risks within the work environment. Coordinates and implements appropriate action to correct deficiencies. Plans, coordinates, and conducts surveys of work sites to observe work practices and conditions for health hazards. Determines the nature and magnitude of hazardous exposure and the effectiveness of existing controls. Prepares technical reports identifying health hazards. Participates in special studies or investigations related to occupational health. Experience working with engineers, crafts, management, and regulators. Experience in both Department of Energy and industrial environments, including radiation and chemical hazards.

Senior Level Industrial Hygienist: Provides technical direction to assigned staff. Independently applies advanced industrial hygiene techniques for problems and methods. Has extensive experience in Industrial Hygiene.

Mid – Level Industrial Hygienist: Under general supervision, applies advanced industrial hygiene techniques for problems and methods.

Junior Level Industrial Hygienist: Under supervision, applies industrial hygiene techniques for problems and methods.

Entry Level Industrial Hygienist: Under supervision, applies industrial hygiene techniques for problems and methods.

Industrial Hygiene Technician – All Levels:

Provide in various industrial hygiene topical areas. The individual shall be responsible for implementing industrial hygiene/safety and health programs as described in client program/procedures. Perform sampling/monitoring of field work activities under the direction of the Project Industrial Hygienist. This work includes:

  • Providing support for the field implementation of industrial hygiene and management requirements and maintain a strong field presence in project activities
  • Generating industrial hygiene field documentation including field notes, database entry, and chain of custody.
  • Provide support to the company in industrial hygiene and management requirements including support for the field implementation of the Chronic Beryllium Disease Prevention Program (CBDPP)
  • Supporting field operations with Industrial Hygiene support as directed including the development and implementation of effective and efficient methods for controlling and eliminating occupational health hazards.
  • Providing input/interface into the job hazard analysis processes as required.

Entry Level Industrial Hygiene Technician: Under supervision, applies industrial hygiene techniques for problems and methods.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Senior Level Industrial Hygienist:

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial hygiene or related field plus at least 10 years of directly related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience in additional to the required minimum of 10 years.
  • Two years of directly related experience is typically considered equivalent to one year of college. HS diploma or GED required.

Mid – Level Industrial Hygienist:

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial hygiene or related field plus at least 7 years of directly related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience in additional to the required minimum of 7 years.
  • Two years of directly related experience is typically considered equivalent to one year of college. HS diploma or GED required

Junior Level Industrial Hygienist:

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial hygiene or related field plus at least 2 years of directly related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience in additional to the required minimum of 2years.
  • Two years of directly related experience is typically considered equivalent to one year of college. HS diploma or GED required

Entry Level Industrial Hygienist:

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial hygiene or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two years of directly related experience is typically considered equivalent to one year of college. HS diploma or GED required

Senior Level Industrial Hygiene Technician:

  • AA/AS plus 8 years of directly related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two years of directly related experience is typically considered equivalent to one year of college. HS diploma or GED required.

Mid-Level Industrial Hygiene Technician:

  • AA/AS plus 5 years of directly related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two years of directly related experience is typically considered equivalent to one year of college. HS diploma or GED required.

Junior Level Industrial Hygiene Technician:

  • AA/AS plus 2 years of directly related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two years of directly related experience is typically considered equivalent to one year of college. HS diploma or GED required.

Entry Level Industrial Hygiene Technician:

  • AA/AS plus 0 years of directly related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two years of directly related experience is typically considered equivalent to one year of college. HS diploma or GED required.

DURATION 

Duration is from date of award through 9/30/2020 with option to extend.

PER DIEM

Travel and living expenses are not authorized for this position.

OTHER
